The Methodist Church of Simpsonville

Biblical - Orthodox - Evangelical - Liturgical - Independent

Firmly convinced that our former denomination had joined many other mainline churches in departing from the Biblical faith, that an ever-widening gulf now exists that separates historic, traditional, conservative Christianity from the modern, liberal and progressive expression of the Christian faith, and heeding the Lord's command to not be unequally yoked together with those who no longer hold to the revealed truth of Scripture, In June of 2024, The Methodist Church of Simpsonville separated from The United Methodist Church.

Trusting in the providence of God the Father, seeking only to be faithful to God the Son, and strengthened by the power of God the Holy Spirit, The Methodist Church of Simpsonville took the bold step of declaring independence from our former denomination in order to preserve the distinctive doctrines of primitive Methodism, which was founded upon the inspiration, truth, and authority of Scripture, as well as upon the Articles of Religion and other Doctrinal Standards that, together, lay out the core beliefs and theological position of the People called Methodist.
